New Patients
All new patients will receive a New Patient Health Questionnaire upon booking their first appointment. This includes a wide range of questions about your symptoms, eating, exercise, sleep habits, emotional states etc. and anything that may offer us insight into your health.
Please complete this and submit it as soon as possible before attending your appointment in the clinic. This simply helps us obtain insight into your health and to be informed of your health complaint prior to your visit.
Your First Consultation
Generally last up to 90 minutes.
During your first visit, we will spend time getting to know you and your health concerns. We will go through your questionnaire and may ask you further questions about your health history.
Unique diagnostic tools to acupuncture such as tongue and pulse diagnosis will be employed. This in-depth assessment based upon your health concerns, will be done prior to the treatment which will start at your first appointment. If needed we may also do a physical examination.
We will discuss a personalised treatment plan with you, which may require you to come weekly, whilst other people may need less frequent treatments.
During treatment hair thin needles are inserted painlessly into acupuncture points across the body. Most people find acupuncture incredibly relaxing and often fall asleep. Depending on the conditions, the benefits of acupuncture can be felt very quickly.
Acupuncture treatment may also include; Electro-acupuncture, Tuina, Guasha, Cupping Therapy – these are all part of the treatment fee and do not incur extra cost.
The course of treatments will be complimented with lifestyle advice on aspects such as dietary modifications, exercise, improvements to your sleep, and stress management to aid your recovery and to further support your health, in as rounded a way as possible.
Follow-up Appointments
Generally lasts 60 minutes and includes a short re-assessment of your issue.
Getting the most out of your Treatments
Please avoid stimulants; coffee, caffeine, alcohol or drugs prior to your treatment. We strongly suggest you refrain from overexertion for at least six hours after treatment.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing (shorts and a vest) so that points are easily accessible.
Remember each visit builds upon the previous ones.
Please feel free to ask questions as Chinese Medicine is a completely different way of looking at the body.
Make sure you have had a light meal before attending your appointment.
Try to follow your treatment plan between visits.

Even after your symptoms are resolved, acupuncture can assist you in maintaining your health, and possibly prevent future imbalances. The more you incorporate acupuncture and its principles into your life, the more you’ll learn to nurture your body, mind and spirit.
Payments
We accept cash and most major credit cards including American Express.
Payments must be made in full at the time of service.
Private Health Insurance
Many Health Insurers cover acupuncture, please check your policy and ask for a receipt at the end of your appointment.
Cancellation Policy
We have a 24hour cancellation policy. We fully appreciate that life can be unpredictable and that you may need to cancel your appointments at short noticed.
Please provide 24hours notice when cancelling your appointment, so we can try and fill the appointment. Cancellations on the day of treatment will incur 100% of the treatment fee if we cannot fill the slot with another patient. The later the cancellation, the more likely it is that we will be unable to fill it.
No-shows will incur 100% of the treatment fee and we will not be able to book further appointments until this fee is paid.
This includes Private Health Insurance appointments.
